1 Do I need to book in advance?
It is always advisable to book our houses in advance, which you can do by clicking on the booking button or by sending an email to booking@coloradocamping.hu. After booking, our colleagues will send you a confirmation with all the relevant information. Guests arriving with a tent, caravan or motorhome in high season can reserve a pitch in advance at the Premium pitches, and can also choose the pitch that suits them on arrival.
2 How to pay?
At the Colorado Camping you can choose between the following payment methods: cash payment in HUF and EUR (according to the exchange rate valid on the day), credit card (Visa, Maestro, MasterCard), SZÉP card (OTP, MKB, K&H - according to the legislation in force). The accommodation fee and tourist tax are payable at the reception upon arrival, at check-in.
3 What happens if you arrive in high season and there is no space available?
In our experience, in early to mid-July, it is not usually a problem for our guests to find a plot available. Please note that we expect heavier traffic from the last weekend in July, when it can sometimes be more difficult to find a plot.
4 Is the campsite open in winter?
Yes, of course, our campsite welcomes guests in winter too. From the beginning of October until the end of April we are open in winter, which means that our campsite is open without reception staff. Incoming guests will be welcomed by the reception of the Colorado Steakhouse in our neighbourhood. You can easily walk from the campground to the restaurant at any time through a small gate. Our guests can check in, pay, get information and room cards there. The gate is opened and closed by the guests themselves during this period, and in case of problems or questions, they can contact the restaurant reception. During these months we also have a winterized building with separate toilets, washrooms, showers, kitchen, laundry and dishwashing facilities. The area is patrolled by cameras at night, while during the day the campsite is manned by cleaning staff and gardeners.
5 Can the car be parked next to the tent and caravan or the mobile home?
Yes, everyone can park on their own plot. The houses have their own area and parking.
6 Are there car charging facilities in the area?
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to charge electric cars on our campsite, as our fire safety policy prohibits the charging of electric vehicles. The nearest charging station is the Colorado Steakhouse parking lot.
7 Do you have to pay for electricity use?
There is an extra charge for electricity use, but please note our house rules, which regulate the electrical outlets that can be used and include rules on extension cords. Running electric cables through the roads is strictly forbidden and can cause accidents!
8 Can I bring a dog, cat or other pet on the campsite?
Dogs and cats are welcome in many areas of the campsite, including tent pitches and caravan parks. However, pets are not allowed in the cottages. Please keep all pet vaccination books and health records up to date. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the campsite. Please ensure that your pets do not disturb the peace, comfort and safety of other guests. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets on the campsite.
9 Can I build a campfire, barbecue or cook on the plot?
The campsite fire pit can be used between 7:00 am and 22:00 pm, subject to fire safety regulations. It is also suitable for barbeques and bacon barbecues, but you can only build a fire on the campsite. We cannot provide firewood, spits or kettles, so please bring them with you. Barbecues are permitted on the plots, and electric and gas hobs in the caravans are available, subject to the fire safety regulations. Guests arriving with a tent have access to a kitchen, where they can use our gas hobs and microwaves free of charge.
10 Are bed linen and towels provided for people arriving in the houses?
Bed linen and towels are provided in the houses. Towels are for guests' use in the houses only, please bring your own towel/blanket for beaching.
